Licence to perform dogging - NOT AVAILABLE TO PUBLIC


To provide participants with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to safely perform dogging work in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Dogging consists of the application of slinging techniques to move a load, including the selection and inspection of lifting gear, and the directing of a plant operator in the movement of a load when the load is out of sight of the operator.

On successful completion participants then undertake the SafeWork Assessment required to receive High Risk work Licence.

Duration: 5 days (4 days training, 1 day SafeWork Assessment)

Prerequisites for this Course

  • 100 points of identification (EOI Information Sheet)
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or over
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English*
  • Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills assessment*
  • Must have a USI or obtain a USI prior to course, or, WIT can apply on the Learner's request
