Provide First Aid

UNIT CODE: HLTAID011

To provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
HLTAID011 Provide first aid applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

NOTE: CPR training must be updated (“refreshed”) every 12 months.

Qualification

  • You will be issued with a Statement of Attainment HLTAID011 Provide First Aid & HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation by Workplace Industry Training (RTO 40965) . This certificate is nationally recognised. 

Prerequisites for this Course

  • Applicants must be 14 years of age or over
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English*
  • Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills assessment*
  • Must have a USI or obtain a USI prior to course, or, WIT can apply on the Learner's request
  • Fitness to participant 
  • Able to perform at least two (2) minutes of uninterrupted CPR on both an adult and an infant resuscitation manikin placed on the floor
