Licence to operate a forklift truck


To provide participants with the skills and the knowledge to safely operate a Forklift truck in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements and undertake the SafeWork Assessment required to receive High Risk work Licence

Forklift truck means a powered industrial truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachments that can be raised 900 mm or more above the ground, but does not include a pedestrian-operated truck or a pallet truck.
A person performing this work is required to hold a forklift truck High Risk Work Licence.

  • Statement of Attainment TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a Forklift Truck is issued by Workplace Industry Training (RTO 40965) . This certificate is nationally recognised
  • National High Risk Licence Class (LF)

Prerequisites for this Course

  • 100 points of identification (EOI Information Sheet)
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or over
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English*
  • Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills assessment*
  • Must have a USI or obtain a USI prior to course, or, WIT can apply on the Learner's request
