Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes)


To provide participants with the skills and knowledge to be competent in operating a Slewing Mobile Crane (up to 20 tonnes) in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. .

On successful completion participants then undertake the SafeWork Assessment required to receive High Risk work Licence

Slewing mobile crane means a mobile crane incorporating a boom or jib that can be slewed, but does not include:
- a front-end loader or
- a backhoe or
- an excavator or
- other earth moving equipment, when configured for crane operation.

You will be issued with a Statement of Attainment TLILIC0010 Licence to operate a Slewing Mobile Crane (up to 2m tonnes) by Workplace Industry Training (RTO 40965) .

This certificate is nationally recognised. 

National High Risk Licence Class (C2)

Prerequisites for this Course

  • 100 points of identification (EOI Information Sheet)
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or over
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English*
  • Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills assessment*
  • Must have a USI or obtain a USI prior to course, or, WIT can apply on the Learner's request
